Unlocking Potential

What started with a simple vision has now become a cooperative of Amateur Radio enthusiast that have a passion for operating and sharing the world of Radio Contesting and events with both fellow members and visitors alike with the ability to get on the air from anywhere, anytime, regardless of their home radio setup or equipment capabilities.

+ HF Radiosport Contests

+ Special Operating Events and Field Days

+ Parks on the Air (POTA)

Accessible Anywhere

We utilize tried and true hardware based devices vs computer based software avenues in most applications to access radio equipment from anywhere with a good internet connection. This setup allows an actual physical radio control head to be present at the operating position at a fraction of the cost of some off-the-shelf systems.

Adaptable Design

By implementing a modular setup, the equipment can be configured for portable use, base station use, or even mobile. When all modules are combined together, it can even stand up to heavy radio sport contesting use.

Alternative Energy

As a means to explore alternative energy and maintain a system robust against utility outages, RBCC utilizes solar power, high capacity Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries, and other uninterruptible power sources to keep systems energized no matter what. It is not emergency power – it is “always on” sustainable power that is independent of the grid.

RBCC Team WX8S briefly participated in the ARRL 10 Meter contest as a group effort with a mix of SSB and CW. Operating time was limited due to other prior commitments by team operators but much fun was still had. Since the ARRL rules specify that all equipment must be from one location, only Remote

  • ARRL 160 Meter CW Contest 2024

RBCC Participated in a limited single operator capacity in the ARRL 160 Meter CW contest. Personal illness limited operating times along with not having ideal antenna setups for 160m. This was mostly a test to see how well existing antennas at Remote Base Location Alpha would work on 160m. We were quite surprised to see

“After not always being able to have a permanent station setup from where I have sometimes lived yet wanting to be active in radio contesting, I saw a need to create remote access for not only myself but others that share similar situations all while embracing alternative energy sources and innovative solutions. That’s how RBCC was born.”
